Mom:

Yes, that's my mom as a toddler.  I love the quality of this image.  It was printed as an 8" by 10" print and shows how important my family thought it was to capture her at  this age.  It likely would have cost over a month's wages back in 1928 to get this photograph taken and printed.  Unless, of course, an itinerant photographer was offering to do the work!

The very paper this was printed on is acidic and while it is in good condition, if not digitized, details will be lost forever.

It is important to properly store these old images.  Laying them one on top of another is a sure way to allow the acid of one to destroy the image of another.

Don't ever put your precious photos in a magnetic album!  Those easy to use albums are a sure way to destroy details, fade colors and ruin the images.
